Ifrah Law Expands Team with Two New Associates, Steven Hess and John Mikuta

We are pleased to welcome new associates, John Mikuta and Steven Hess, to the Ifrah Law team. Bringing distinguished credentials and complementary backgrounds, the addition of John and Steven further enhances our firm’s ability to deliver sophisticated and effective representation to clients facing today’s most challenging legal and regulatory matters.

  • John Mikuta brings exceptional state and federal court experience to our firm. Prior to joining Ifrah Law, John completed a clerkship with Judge Frank M. Hull on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. He also served as a Staff Attorney for the Eleventh Circuit, providing him with deep insight into the technical requirements of successful appeals. His experience also includes an internship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, where he worked in the white collar unit and gained exposure to federal prosecution strategies from grand jury proceedings through sentencing. Mr. Mikuta graduated with honors from Emory University School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal.

  • Steven Hess joins Ifrah Law from an international law firm, where he collaborated on active litigation matters, conducted depositions, and advised clients on complex financial documents and regulatory compliance issues. Prior to private practice, he served as an attorney for U.S. Customs & Border Protection, where he was responsible for updating agency regulations and engaging with private sector and government stakeholders. Steven earned his J.D. with highest honors from The George Washington University Law School, where he graduated in the top three percent of his class and earned membership in the Order of the Coif. He also served as Articles Editor for the George Washington Law Review and founded the Administrative Law Society. His judicial experience includes internships with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

As regulatory landscapes continue to evolve and enforcement activity intensifies across industries, the experience that Mr. Hess and Mr. Mikuta bring will be instrumental in serving our clients and we look forward to the contributions these talented attorneys will make to Ifrah Law’s continued growth and success.
