Ifrah Law Pro Bono Team Secures Client’s Release Under D.C.’s Second Look Amendment Act

Ifrah Law’s amazing pro bono team successfully secured the release of a client under D.C.’s Second Look Amendment Act, a statute that provides second chances for incarcerated individuals who committed crimes at a young age and have shown profound growth. Our client, who spent 20 years incarcerated for an offense committed during his adolescence, embraced educational and vocational opportunities, developing a passion for business and literature while maintaining his role as a devoted father and brother. His remarkable journey embodies the core purpose of the Second Look Act – rehabilitation and transformation.

In a post on LinkedIn, Associate Abbey Block said, “I am inspired by his transformation, and am grateful to have played a role in securing his release. Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen! This is one of the most rewarding experiences of my career to date, and I am grateful to work at a firm that values pro bono work and giving back to the community.”
