Navient claimed that the law firm and its codefendants schemed to encourage student loan borrowers to default on their debts to manufacture TCPA claims against Navient to try to force the company to cancel or reduce those debts. Lisa Simonetti of Greenberg Traurig assisted Calhoun at trial in the Eastern District of Virginia”.
