Halina Bereday

Halina “Hallie” Bereday brings a diverse background in complex litigation, regulatory matters, and large-scale transactions to Ifrah Law. Her experience spans a federal judicial clerkship, strategic advising on regulatory matters, and negotiating and executing multi-million-dollar transactions. That breadth informs Hallie’s approach to helping clients address legal issues, mitigate risk, and navigate the potential challenges that can arise throughout a transaction or dispute.

Hallie joins Ifrah Law following a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Scott W. Skavdahl in the U.S. District Court for the District of Wyoming, where she managed courtroom proceedings, researched complex legal issues, and drafted judicial orders, opinions, and bench memoranda across a diverse docket of civil and criminal matters.

Prior to her judicial clerkship, Hallie was an associate in the Projects practice of a global Am Law 20 firm, where she represented lenders, sponsors, borrowers, tax equity investors, government entities, and agents in cross-border energy and infrastructure transactions. Hallie gained valuable experience crafting, editing, and negotiating key project finance agreements, including credit agreements, security documents, and ancillary closing documents. She also advised clients on evolving federal and state regulations and prepared filings for administrative agencies.

Working in the regulatory and public sector further informs Hallie’s practice. During law school, she served as a student attorney in the Public Health Law Clinic, where she testified before state legislative bodies and conducted and presented public health research related to regulatory, constitutional, and energy-efficiency issues affecting the cannabis industry. She also interned with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Bureau of Competition in Mergers III, where she investigated anticompetitive merger transactions.

Hallie earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and elected to the Order of the Coif. She also served as Executive Editor of the Maryland Law Review where her passion for legal writing was ignited. She earned a B.A. in Psychology, with minors in Environmental Studies and Religion, Ethics & World Affairs, from Georgetown University, where she was a National Scholar Athlete and competed on the NCAA Division I Varsity Rowing team.
