John Mikuta

Associate

"My judicial experience taught me to see cases from every angle. I leverage that perspective to craft winning arguments for clients."

Overview

John Mikuta brings exceptional judicial experience and a passion for legal writing to his legal practice. His unique perspective from both federal and state courts, combined with his background in white-collar matters, positions him to help Ifrah Law clients facing complex regulatory and litigation challenges.

Before joining Ifrah Law, John completed a prestigious clerkship with Judge Frank M. Hull on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, where he drafted opinions and bench memoranda across a diverse federal docket. Prior to his clerkship, he served as a Staff Attorney for the Eleventh Circuit, where he was selected for a specialized unit reviewing appellate jurisdiction—experience that gives him invaluable insight into the technical requirements that can make or break an appeal.

John’s interest in white collar and regulatory matters developed during his internship with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Georgia, where he was assigned to the white-collar unit. There, he gained firsthand exposure to government prosecution strategies, from grand jury proceedings through sentencing, providing him with a crucial perspective for defending clients in regulatory enforcement matters.

John’s path to law was driven by a passion for writing and analytical reasoning. Graduating with honors from the Emory University School of Law, he served as Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal, where he honed his skills in legal analysis and refined his ability to craft compelling arguments.
