"Clients deserve someone who understands both sides of the bench. That's the perspective I bring to Ifrah Law."
Overview
Lauren Scribner brings extensive federal judicial experience and exceptional legal writing skills to her practice. Before joining Ifrah Law, she spent three years clerking in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, serving both a U.S. District Judge and a U.S. Magistrate Judge. In those roles, she worked closely with the court on a wide range of complex federal matters, gaining an insider’s perspective on how judges evaluate legal arguments, manage pretrial litigation, and resolve dispositive motions.Â
Lauren played a key role in drafting orders and memoranda addressing significant legal issues, including claims arising under the Federal Tort Claims Act, questions of foreign sovereign immunity, and constitutional challenges. Her clerkship experience sharpened her ability to distill complex records, identify dispositive legal issues, and craft clear, persuasive analysis—skills she now brings to clients navigating high-stakes litigation and government scrutiny.Â
Before entering the legal profession, Lauren spent four years working for an international disaster relief organization. In this role, she earned a certification in USAID Assistance Management for federal awards and advised international field offices on compliance with grant requirements from the U.S. government, the United Nations, and private foundations. Her work included designing and implementing disaster response and recovery programs in Puerto Rico and Cambodia. During this time, she also worked with labor trafficking survivors along the Thai-Cambodia border—experiences that ultimately drew her to the practice of law.Â
A U.S. Army spouse, Lauren is committed to expanding professional opportunities for attorneys in military families. She serves pro bono as Vice Chair of Policy and Advocacy for the Military Spouse JD Network, where she works with state bar authorities to promote licensing reforms for military spouse attorneys. Â
Lauren earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Campbell School of Law, where she received the Equal Justice Works Regional Public Interest Award and was also a Janette Soles Nelson Public Service Scholarship Recipient.Â
