Ifrah Law Welcomes Two New Associates
Ifrah Law is pleased to announce the addition of two new associates to its growing team: Katie Kovalsky and Lauren Scribner. Both attorneys bring distinctive backgrounds that reflect the firm’s commitment to sophisticated litigation, government enforcement defense, and regulatory counsel.
Katie Kovalsky joins Ifrah Law with experience in civil and criminal enforcement investigations, government externships, and appellate work. Before joining the Ifrah team, Katie worked at Duane Morris LLP, where she managed responses to government subpoenas and oversaw complex written and electronic discovery. Earlier in her career, she served as a Legal Extern in the Pennsylvania Governor’s Office of General Counsel and as a Judicial Extern to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit — experience that gave her firsthand insight into government decision-making and appellate review.
What sets Katie apart is a pre-law career in supply chain management, including roles at Amazon and a national manufacturer, where she led product launches and managed large-scale logistics operations. That operational foundation informs her disciplined, detail-driven approach to complex legal matters.
Katie earned her J.D. summa cum laude from the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif, served on the Villanova Law Review, and received the Dorothy Day Award for pro bono service.
Lauren Scribner comes to Ifrah Law following three years of federal judicial clerkship experience in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, where she clerked for both a U.S. District Judge and a U.S. Magistrate Judge. Her work at the court encompassed a broad range of complex federal matters — including Federal Tort Claims Act litigation, foreign sovereign immunity, and constitutional challenges — giving her a uniquely informed perspective on how federal judges evaluate arguments and resolve dispositive motions.
Prior to law school, Lauren spent four years with an international disaster relief organization, earning a USAID certification in federal assistance management and advising field offices across multiple countries on grant compliance. She also worked with labor trafficking survivors along the Thai-Cambodia border.
A U.S. Army spouse, Lauren is committed to expanding opportunities for military family attorneys and currently serves pro bono as Vice Chair of Policy and Advocacy for the Military Spouse JD Network.
Lauren earned her J.D. magna cum laude from Campbell School of Law, where she served on the Campbell Law Review, received the Equal Justice Works Regional Public Interest Award, and was a recipient of the Janette Soles Nelson Public Service Scholarship.
“We are thrilled to welcome Katie and Lauren to the Ifrah Law,” said founding member Jeff Ifrah. “They each bring a rare combination of practical experience, intellectual rigor, and personal commitment to their clients — qualities that align perfectly with how we approach every matter at this firm.”
